  • I’d like help with ergonomics, but I don’t want to buy a lot of standing desks or expensive chairs.

    Most ergonomic problems can be addressed without expensive furniture or equipment. We focus on working with what is already in place and teaching employees how to practice healthy work habits.

  • If my employee has a doctor’s note for a standing desk, don’t I have to get it for them? Why would I need your help?

    Not necessarily. Employers are rarely obligated to provide specific furniture or equipment. Ergonomic consultants can objectively identify ergonomic risk and make an effective recommendation (that meets your budgetary needs). We can also screen needs vs. wants.

  • We don’t have a budget for ergonomics.

    There are many things you can do without an official ergonomics budget. We will help you get started with low cost solutions. Then, if you’d like the budget increased, we will give you data to show you how great the return on investment is for ergonomics programs as well as what it costs to not prevent ergonomics problems.

  • We are just getting started and don't know what to do - how can you help us?

    You are exactly who we love to help! We can help you build a program from the ground up and make sure it fits your budget and time frame.

  • We have some ergonomics things in place, but probably not everything. How do you work with people like us?

    It’s great that you already have some ergonomics in place. We will talk to you about what you already have, what is working and what is not working. Then, we will help you fill in the gaps.

  • We don’t have upper management support for our program yet. Should I enroll?

    Yes - we will give you the tools you need to get upper management buy-in.

Lisa Harris, OT

Lisa Harris is one of the founders of Healthworks Ergonomics. She has been helping employers and individuals with ergonomics for over 20 years.

She is a licensed occupational therapist and as she was treating patients early in her career, she realized that many of the injuries she treated were entirely preventable. She incorporated ergonomic training and evaluations into her practice early on and began working with employers.

She has worked with a wide range of employers including, small, mid-size and large multi-national organizations. Every client is unique and Lisa loves to find ways to customize ergonomics programs to meet their needs.

Helping employers implement ergonomics programs is something she is very passionate about because not only is it good for the employees – its good for the company.
